Winter's breath

My palace now : Lays silent : Bare : Its columns : Stand solemn : Its roof : Torn open wide : Yet marble white : All floors have turned : And through its windows : Sapphire fire shines : And though its halls : Are now devoid : Of song and dance : Through its rooms : Shyly creatures prance : That at any other time : Would be hidden : Among its tapestry : Move so gracefully : I am certain it’s but : A winter fantasy
